A Day of Firsts

Today was a fun day. Jason took off and the three of us had a picnic lunch and went to the zoo. It was so much fun. Although Jason and I have been to the zoo many times before, it was fun to share all of the animals with Will. I know he had no idea what he was looking at, but he did seem to look at several of the animals. You can see the progression of our day from the pictures below. Will started off wide-eyed, but he quickly got tired and fell fast asleep. I guess exploring the zoo makes a baby tired!!!

Just Like My Poppie!!!!

Over the weekend my mom and I threw a bridal shower for a friend so Will and I went home for the day. After the shower, Will went to the police station to visit some of Poppie's friends. While we were at the police station Will got to drive the firetruck, practice shifting the gears, and stand out front of Poppie's police car. He had SO much fun that he is thinking about being a policeman when he grows up.

2 month check-up

Today was a hard day for Will. We had his 2 month check-up this morning. The doctor was very pleased with his development and even said that he looks more like a 4 month old instead of the 2 months he really is. He weighed 13 pounds (91st percentile) and his length was 23 1/2 inches (92nd percentile). She said not to worry, his weight matches his height...he is going to be a really tall guy. After our check-up the nurse came in and gave Will an oral medicine and three shots. He screamed, Mom cried, and poor Dad looked distressed to have to handle both of us. Once it was all over with, I got to hold him, a.k.a. be the good guy, and make everything better. The rest of the afternoon was spent sleeping. I have never seen Will sleep so much. He was starting to feel more like himself this evening...I even got several big smiles before bedtime. I am sure he will be good as new tomorrow.

P.S. After today's visit I started thinking about my favorite book from when I was a little girl. I know my Mama will remember it well...Farley Goes to the Doctor. So, Mama if you get a chance can you pull it out for me. I would love to read it to Will. Thanks!!!

Sleeping on my Daddy makes it all better!

This "big boy" crib has lots more room than that little cradle.

More Will Pictures

I know these pictures don't show what Will looks like now, but they are so adorable I couldn't help putting them up. Jason and I had pictures taken of Will when he was 2 weeks old. We got the cd of all of the pictures this week so I wanted to share a few of our favorites. We hope you enjoy!!!!

Exercising Makes Me TIRED!!!!

Will and I have started a new "Mommy and Me" class on Wednesday afternoons. It is so much fun. Today was our second class. There have been 3 to 4 other babies in the class with us. Most of the babies are a few months older than Will; it is exciting to see all of the fun things he will be doing soon (i.e holding up his head without support). Last week Will slept through the entire class, but he was awake for most of the class today. Jason met us for today's class. He was able to take pictures while Will and I had fun moving our arms and legs, singing songs together, and having free time exploring the gym. Don't worry, I'm not the only crazy mom at the class taking pictures. All of the others do the same thing.

Grandma Time

Will had company today. Jason's mom and grandma come to visit. Jason met us for lunch at Applebee's and then each grandma enjoyed some time holding Will.

Here are some other pictures of Will over the past several days.

The picture with Daddy was taken on Sunday after church. He did so good on his first day in the nursery!

I'm not just a PC fan...Newberry is pretty good too!

Hanging out with Mommy is so much fun!
